Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Scope

This policy applies to coaching and consulting engagements with CognitiveComms Career Support, including interview preparation coaching, salary negotiation coaching, career direction consultations, and application materials review. It does not cover products we do not sell (physical goods, software subscriptions, or placement guarantees).

2. Cooling-off for distance contracts

Where mandatory consumer cooling-off rights apply to a distance contract under German law, you may withdraw within the statutory period unless you expressly request that services begin during that period and acknowledge that you may lose the withdrawal right once performance has fully begun. We will confirm this in writing when relevant.

3. Cancellation by you before work starts

If you cancel a confirmed engagement before any intake call, document review, or rehearsal has begun, we refund 100% of fees paid for that engagement.

4. Cancellation after work has started

Once intake or document review has started, fees for completed portions are non-refundable. Unused rehearsal sessions may be refunded at 50% if cancelled with at least 48 hours’ notice before the scheduled block. Inside 48 hours, unused sessions are non-refundable unless we can reassign the slot.

5. Rescheduling

You may reschedule a session once at no charge with at least 24 hours’ notice. Later changes or repeated reschedules may forfeit that session fee, especially when your interview date leaves no alternative slot.

6. No-shows

If you miss a scheduled session without notice, that session is charged in full. We will attempt one courtesy reschedule at our discretion when illness or documented emergency is communicated promptly.

7. Deposits

When a deposit is required to hold rush availability near an interview date, the deposit is applied to the final fee. Deposits become non-refundable once we have declined other bookings for that window or begun preparation work.

8. Materials already prepared

Written interview maps, negotiation briefs, annotated CV reviews, and session notes already delivered remain yours to keep; fees for those deliverables are non-refundable.

9. Cancellation by us

If we must cancel and cannot offer a reasonable alternative time before your interview or offer deadline, you receive a full refund of fees paid for undelivered work.

10. Refund method and timing

Approved refunds are returned via the original payment method within 14 business days of approval. Bank processing times may add several days.

12. Exceptions

Nothing in this policy limits mandatory rights under German consumer law. Guarantees of interview success or salary outcomes are not offered and are not a basis for refund.
